SIRICHAI MONGKOLKIATSRI (LLB, LLM, Ph. D)

 

Prof. Sirichai is a legal practioner called to the Thai Bar, (Thailand) in 1990. He attended Thammasat University, Thailand where he obtained LLB Hons in 1989. He obtained an LLM in International Law from the same University in 1997.

 

He also obtained a Ph.D in International Law from the University of Dundee UK in 2014, he has Master of Laws from King’s College, University of Aberdeen, UK 2009.

 

Prof. Sirichai is an expert on Host Governments and Investment Treaty Arbitration. He is also a well-grounded legal scholar who has participated in a plethora of activities and has written enormous literature in areas of his expertise.

They include; The Defense of Necessity: Host States regulatory Autonomy VS Investors Protection under International Investment Law (University of Dundee, UK) 2014 – PHD Theses, introduction to Business Law; Bangkok University Press 2004 and Self-judging measures and jurisdiction of International Dispute Settlement bodies (Narasuan Law Journal 4 (1) 20(1) (Thai) among others.

 

Prof. Sirichai has vast experience in different sectors. He has worked at various levels of public, private and non – governmental sectors. He is currently a lecturer and the Dean, School of Law Bangkok University, an assistant professor and visiting lecturer in various other Universities.
