MR MURTALA ADAMU (LLB, BL, LLM)

 

Mr. Murtala Adamu is a legal practitioner called to the Nigerian bar in 2006. He obtained his LLB Hons from the  Bayero University Kano, Nigeria in 2005. He also holds an LLM in Petroleum Taxation and Finance from the University of Dundee, UK.

 

Mr. Murtala is experienced in both public and private sector operations. He has worked with Star Communications Limited from 2007 – 2009 and has been a customary court judge between the years 2009 – 2012.

 

He is an expert in Taxation and Insurance matters. He has undergone lots of training and attended conferences in related matters at home and abroad. They include 2010 BIEE Academic Conference (Oxford UK) on Energy and Carbon Economy: New Roles of Government and Markets, 2010 August IAEE European Conference, (VILNIUS) on Energy Economy, Policies and Supply Sec, May 2010, CEPMLP University of Dundee, UK, International Fiscal Systems: Analysis and Design among many others.

 

He is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association (Nigeria), Energy Institute (UK), Scottish Oil Club (UK), Association of International Petroleum Negotiators (AIPN) Houston, Society for Petroleum Engineers (SPE) UK, International Association of Energy Economics (USA), British Institute of Energy Economics (UK).

 

Mr. Murtala is also a prolific writer who has authored a number of articles that are closely related to his area of expertise. They include:
